About me

  • Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey as a relationship coach?

I’m Hui, your relationship coach. My journey into relationship coaching has been deeply influenced by my own experiences living across cultures. I’ve spent over two decades in Europe as a Chinese woman, married to a husband with German and English roots. My family is spread across Asia and Australia, and I’ve had the privilege of working with people on five different continents. This diverse background has given me a unique perspective on intercultural communication, and it’s this understanding that I bring into my coaching practice.

  • What inspired you to become a relationship counselor and coach?

I’ve always been fascinated by people and psychology, but it was my own experiences that really shaped my path into relationship coaching. My first marriage ended badly, and that led me to spend a lot of time reflecting and learning from it. Now, in a happy, fulfilling marriage for the last 10 years, I want to share what I’ve learned and help others avoid the same mistakes. I believe my personal journey, combined with my knowledge, allows me to guide others through their struggles and create stronger, healthier relationships.

  • How do your clients describe you as a relationship counselor and coach?

Friends and clients often describe me as open, empathetic, and trustworthy. They appreciate my ability to offer fresh insights and uncover hidden truths that might not be immediately obvious. My clients feel comfortable confiding in me, talking about their challenges, and sharing their secrets, knowing that I’m here to listen without judgment and to support them in finding their own solutions.

  • Why specialize in multicultural relationships?

My own experiences in a cross-cultural marriage naturally led me to specialize in this area. Relationships between people from different cultures come with unique challenges—like different values, communication styles, and expectations. I know this firsthand, and I’m passionate about helping couples navigate those differences and find harmony in their partnerships.

  • What can clients expect from working with you?

You can expect a hands-on, empathetic approach to uncover and address the root issues in your relationship. I use proven, systematic methods like the Gottman Method, which helps identify harmful patterns such as criticism and defensiveness. Breaking free from these patterns can be tough, but with the right guidance, you can improve communication, trust, and emotional connection. After just a few sessions, you’ll gain clarity and find the path to a healthier relationship.

  • What advice would you give to someone hesitant to seek relationship counseling and coaching?

It’s normal to hesitate at first, but seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a courageous step toward improving your relationship. From my experience, many people regret not reaching out sooner. Don’t wait too long and suffer unnecessarily—by getting help now, I can guide you through the process and help you avoid going down the wrong path.
